Gold Tarpon, LLC (“Gold Tarpon,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect information when you use Gold Tarpon websites, accounts, shopping tools, product recommendation features, comparison tools, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).

Gold Tarpon helps consumers discover, research, compare, save, and evaluate products. Merchant purchasing and affiliate referrals are currently inactive; provisions concerning future commercial activity apply only if that activity is later activated. Gold Tarpon is not the seller of products offered by those merchants and does not process purchases completed on merchants' websites.

1. Information We Collect

Information You Provide

You may browse Gold Tarpon and use core product-discovery and shopping features without creating an account.

If you create an account, we may collect:

• your email address;
• your selected username;
• account credentials or authentication information;
• products, recommendations, comparisons, or other shopping information you choose to save;
• shopping preferences and answers you choose to save;
• communications you send to Gold Tarpon; and
• other information you voluntarily provide through the Services.

Gold Tarpon may assign an internal identifier to your account. We may use this identifier to operate your account, associate information and activity with your account, recognize you across sessions or devices where supported, analyze use of the Services, and measure consumer engagement.

Shopping and Product-Interaction Information

We may collect information about how you interact with Gold Tarpon, including:

• answers provided through “Help Me Choose” or similar shopping tools;
• products and product categories viewed;
• recommendations displayed or selected;
• comparisons created;
• products, recommendations, or comparisons saved;
• shopping preferences;
• merchant offers viewed;
• merchant links clicked;
• referral and attribution activity;
• pages and features used;
• return visits and session activity; and
• other interactions with Gold Tarpon's shopping tools.

When you are signed in, some or all of this information may be associated with your Gold Tarpon account.

Information Collected Automatically

When you access the Services, Gold Tarpon and service providers acting on our behalf may automatically collect technical and usage information, including:

• IP address;
• browser and device type;
• operating system;
• referring website, advertising campaign, or acquisition source;
• pages viewed;
• approximate location derived from technical information;
• dates and times of visits;
• session identifiers;
• cookie and similar technology identifiers; and
• interactions with site features.

2. Accounts and Saved Information

You do not need a Gold Tarpon account to browse products, use product-discovery tools, receive recommendations, compare products, review merchant information, or follow links to third-party merchants.

A Gold Tarpon account is required when you ask us to save or persist information for you.

For example, an account may be required to save products, recommendations, comparisons, preferences, shopping research, or other information for future use.

This allows Gold Tarpon to associate saved information with a registered consumer and make it available during future sessions and, where supported, across devices.

3. How We Use Information

We may use information we collect to:

• provide, operate, secure, and improve the Services;
• create and maintain user accounts;
• save products, comparisons, recommendations, preferences, and shopping research at your request;
• personalize product discovery and shopping experiences;
• allow registered users to resume previous shopping activity;
• understand consumer interests and shopping behavior;
• understand which products, categories, features, and merchants interest consumers;
• measure consumer acquisition, engagement, return activity, merchant referrals, conversions, and attributable transactions;
• evaluate and improve recommendations, product-selection systems, and user experience;
• develop new products, services, features, and business offerings;
• communicate with you about your account or requested services;
• send marketing, promotional, product, shopping, merchant, and other commercial communications as described below;
• provide alerts or notifications you request when those features are offered;
• detect and prevent fraud, abuse, security threats, or unlawful activity;
• maintain and improve our systems;
• conduct analytics, research, forecasting, and business planning;
• evaluate and develop relationships with merchants and other business partners;
• comply with applicable legal obligations; and
• establish, exercise, or defend legal rights.

We may also create and use aggregated, statistical, or de-identified information for analytics, merchant reporting, audience measurement, product development, advertising, business planning, and other lawful purposes when that information does not reasonably identify an individual.

4. Marketing Communications

When you provide an email address to create and maintain a Gold Tarpon account, Gold Tarpon may use that email address to send you marketing and promotional communications in addition to account and service communications.

Marketing communications may include:

• product recommendations;
• information based on products or categories in which you have shown interest;
• shopping ideas and reminders;
• information concerning merchants or merchant offers;
• information concerning products you have viewed or saved;
• new Gold Tarpon features or services;
• promotional content;
• sponsored or commercial content; and
• other communications related to shopping interests or Gold Tarpon's Services.

You may unsubscribe from Gold Tarpon marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe mechanism provided in those communications.

Unsubscribing from marketing communications does not delete your Gold Tarpon account and does not prevent us from sending non-marketing communications reasonably necessary to operate or secure your account, respond to your requests, or provide services you use.

Gold Tarpon will maintain marketing preferences separately from account status where reasonably practicable.

5. Affiliate Relationships and Merchant Referrals

Gold Tarpon may participate in affiliate, referral, advertising, sponsorship, or other commercial relationships with merchants and other businesses.

If you follow certain links from Gold Tarpon to a merchant and subsequently make a qualifying purchase or take another qualifying action, Gold Tarpon may receive compensation.

We may use referral identifiers, cookies, parameters, pixels, or similar technologies to determine whether activity or a transaction is attributable to Gold Tarpon.

Gold Tarpon may receive information from merchants, affiliate networks, or related service providers concerning attributable activity.

Gold Tarpon will provide separate disclosures concerning material affiliate or commercial relationships where appropriate. Those disclosures are separate from this Privacy Policy.

6. Merchant Transactions

Purchases from merchants are completed directly with the applicable third-party merchant.

Gold Tarpon does not intend to collect or store your merchant payment-card number merely because you followed a Gold Tarpon link to a merchant.

Information you provide directly to a merchant—including payment information, billing information, shipping information, and other information necessary to complete a transaction—is governed by that merchant's privacy practices and terms.

Gold Tarpon may receive limited information concerning an attributable transaction from a merchant, affiliate network, or service provider. Depending upon the relationship, this information may include:

• whether a referral resulted in a transaction;
• transaction date or time;
• product or category information;
• order or transaction identifiers;
• transaction value;
• commission or compensation information; and
• other information used to measure attribution and commercial performance.

The information available to Gold Tarpon will vary by merchant, affiliate network, and commercial relationship.

7. Consumer Audience and Merchant Insights

Gold Tarpon may analyze consumer activity to understand consumer interests and purchase intent.

For example, we may analyze the number of registered consumers researching a particular product category, saving particular types of products, comparing products, returning to continue research, following merchant links, or otherwise demonstrating shopping interest.

We may use aggregated, statistical, or de-identified audience information to:

• understand consumer demand;
• improve Gold Tarpon;
• develop merchant relationships;
• demonstrate Gold Tarpon's ability to reach consumers interested in particular products or categories;
• develop advertising, sponsorship, affiliate, referral, or other commercial arrangements; and
• provide merchants and business partners with insights concerning consumer interests and commercial opportunities.

Gold Tarpon may monetize its ability to reach audiences with relevant commercial messages without necessarily providing merchants with the identities of the individual consumers comprising those audiences.

8. How We Disclose Information

We may disclose information in the following circumstances.

Service Providers

We may provide information to companies that perform services on our behalf, including hosting, infrastructure, databases, authentication, security, analytics, email delivery, communications, measurement, fraud prevention, and other operational services.

These providers may process information as necessary to provide services to Gold Tarpon.

Merchants, Affiliate Networks, and Commercial Partners

Information necessary to operate referrals, affiliate relationships, advertising, attribution, measurement, and other commercial relationships may be transmitted to or received from merchants, affiliate networks, advertising or measurement providers, and related service providers.

Legal and Security Purposes

We may disclose information when we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to comply with applicable law, legal process, governmental requests, protect legal rights, enforce agreements, investigate fraud or security incidents, or protect Gold Tarpon, our users, merchants, service providers, or others.

Business Transactions

Information may be disclosed or transferred in connection with an actual or proposed merger, acquisition, financing, investment, restructuring, bankruptcy, sale of assets, or similar corporate or business transaction, subject to applicable law.

9. Sale of Personal Information and Future Data Practices

Gold Tarpon does not currently sell registered users' email addresses or other directly identifying account information to third parties for those third parties' independent marketing purposes.

Gold Tarpon does not make a representation that it will never engage in a transaction or business practice that may constitute a “sale,” “sharing,” or similar regulated use of personal information under applicable law.

Our business model, technology, commercial relationships, and data practices may evolve.

If Gold Tarpon begins selling, sharing, or otherwise using personal information in a manner that materially differs from the practices described in this Privacy Policy, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide notices, choices, consent mechanisms, or opt-out rights as required by applicable law before implementing the changed practice with respect to personal information where such requirements apply.

Gold Tarpon may use or disclose aggregated or de-identified information that does not reasonably identify an individual, subject to applicable law.

10. Analytics and Measurement

Gold Tarpon may use analytics and measurement technologies to understand how consumers discover, use, and return to the Services.

For registered users, Gold Tarpon may use an internally generated identifier to associate activity with an account across sessions or devices where technically supported.

We may analyze information such as:

• acquisition source;
• product and category interest;
• Help Me Choose activity;
• recommendations;
• saved products;
• comparisons;
• return visits;
• merchant referrals;
• attributable transactions; and
• other engagement and conversion activity.

This information helps Gold Tarpon measure consumer acquisition, purchase intent, user engagement, merchant value, and the effectiveness of the Services.

11. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Gold Tarpon may use cookies, local storage, pixels, referral parameters, session identifiers, and similar technologies.

These technologies may be used to:

• operate the Services;
• maintain sessions and authentication;
• remember settings;
• recognize returning users;
• prevent fraud and abuse;
• understand site usage;
• measure advertising and consumer-acquisition performance;
• measure merchant referrals and affiliate attribution;
• personalize experiences or marketing where permitted; and
• improve the Services.

Where applicable law requires notice, consent, or an opportunity to opt out of particular uses of these technologies, Gold Tarpon will provide the required mechanism.

12. Privacy Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live and applicable law, you may have rights concerning your personal information.

Those rights may include the ability to:

• request access to certain personal information;
• request correction of inaccurate personal information;
• request deletion of certain personal information;
• obtain certain personal information in a portable format;
• obtain information about certain disclosures or uses;
• opt out of certain sales, sharing, targeted advertising, or profiling where applicable; and
• appeal certain decisions concerning privacy requests where applicable.

Gold Tarpon may need to verify your identity before processing certain requests.

Applicable law may permit or require us to retain certain information notwithstanding a request for deletion.

We will not unlawfully discriminate against a consumer for exercising a privacy right.

13. Account Deletion

Registered users may request deletion of their Gold Tarpon account and associated personal information by contacting privacy@goldtarpon.com or by using an account-deletion feature if one is provided.

Deleting an account may permanently remove saved products, recommendations, comparisons, preferences, shopping research, and other account information.

We may retain information when reasonably necessary or permitted by law for purposes including security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, financial and business recordkeeping, dispute resolution, enforcement of agreements, or establishing or defending legal claims.

Information that has been aggregated or de-identified so that it no longer reasonably identifies you may not be affected by deletion of your account.

14. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected and for legitimate operational, security, legal, and business purposes.

Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and why it is maintained.

We may retain information as reasonably necessary to:

• maintain user accounts and saved information;
• provide the Services;
• maintain attribution and business records;
• comply with tax, accounting, and legal requirements;
• detect and prevent fraud or abuse;
• resolve disputes;
• enforce agreements; and
• establish or defend legal claims.

When personal information is no longer reasonably needed, we may delete, anonymize, or de-identify it, subject to applicable requirements.

15. Information Security

Gold Tarpon uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, misuse, or loss.

No Internet-based service, transmission method, or information-storage system can guarantee absolute security.

Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials and should notify Gold Tarpon if they believe their account or credentials have been compromised.

16. Children

Gold Tarpon is a general-audience service and is not directed to children under 13.

We do not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children under 13.

If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 in circumstances requiring parental consent under applicable law and the required consent was not obtained, we will take appropriate steps to delete the information.

A parent or guardian who believes a child under 13 has provided personal information to Gold Tarpon may contact privacy@goldtarpon.com.

17. Third-Party Websites and Merchants

Gold Tarpon contains links to websites, merchants, and services operated independently by third parties.

When you leave Gold Tarpon and interact with another website or service, that third party's privacy policy, terms, security practices, and other rules govern your interaction with it.

Gold Tarpon does not control the privacy, security, fulfillment, return, warranty, pricing, or other practices of independent merchants and third-party services.

18. Changes to This Privacy Policy

Gold Tarpon may update this Privacy Policy as our Services, technology, commercial relationships, business model, or legal obligations evolve.

When we update the Privacy Policy, we will revise the effective date.

If we materially change how we use or disclose personal information previously collected, we will provide additional notice, consent, or choices where required by applicable law.

We encourage users to review this Privacy Policy periodically.

Current research-only implementation

The privacy contact privacy@goldtarpon.com is operational and monitored. Account email verification and automated email delivery are not configured; no marketing emails are sent. Accounts use the recovery code supplied at registration. Keep that code securely.

Essential cookies maintain sign-in, browser session security and privacy choices. Anonymous in-progress shopping answers remain in the browser tab; an account is required for server-side saved research. Relevant anonymous shopping events from the current secure browser session are associated with the account when you register. Behavioral event records use internal identifiers, not account email addresses, and exclude unstructured free-text answers.

Privacy Choices provides separate analytics, personalized marketing/advertising processing and affiliate/attribution controls. Global Privacy Control disables these nonessential categories in this implementation. Account email subscription status is managed separately. No third-party advertising tags are active. Seller redirects remain disabled.

You can download your account information and delete your account through My account after confirming your password. Deletion removes the account, saved research and associated intent events. A hashed email suppression record remains to prevent accidental marketing re-enrollment.
